Description
The Linea Blouse is a feminine blouse with an elegant square neckline and a beautiful pattern created by knitting stockinette stitch first back and forth before the front and the back piece are gathered – later in the round. 
 
The stockinette pattern is broken by nice vertical lines which are made from doing chain stitches – slipped purlwise with yarn in front of your work on the flat side of your work (the backside of the finished blouse), knitted on the other side (the front side of the finished blouse). 
 
The blouse has a yoke with a nice rib-knitted front band across the chest and the back, in which the stitches for the yoke are picked up in. 
 
The blouse has feminine slightly voluminous sleeves that you can choose to finish with a small discreet balloon effect by reducing the number of stitches before binding off, or you can skip the reduction of stitches and leave the sleeves open for a more fluttering ending. The pattern comes with instructions for a sleeve ending just before the elbow and a ¾-length sleeve too.
 
It also comes with instructions for a short body and a longer body. 
 
The blouse is knitted top down, and it is therefore easy to adjust the length of the body and sleeves. 
 
The blouse is designed with a positive ease of 0-10 cm, but it can easily also work in a tighter or looser expression, depending on taste.

Bust measurements: approx. 90 (97) 105 (112) 120 cm measured from where the blouse is gathered.
 
Body length measured center under the armhole opening: 26/32 (27/33) 28/34 (29/35) 29/35 cm. Sleeve length measured center under the armhole opening: 30/37 (31/38) 32/39 (33/40) 33/40 cm.
 
Materials
300 g (300) 300 (400) 400 g 0f Alpaca Summer Yarn 50 % Alpaca, 25 % Linen, and 25 % Silk from Uld La La 400 m/100 g or 250 (250) 300 (350) 350 g Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive 250 m/50 g. 
 
The pictured model is a size XS with a short body and ¾-length sleeves with a discrete balloon effect. It is knitted up in Alpaca Summer Yarn in the color Alga from Uld La La. 
You can choose any other yarn if you obtain the correct gauge. 
 
You will also need a single stitch marker to knit this blouse.

 
Recommended needle sizes
The blouse is knit in stockinette stitches with vertical chain stitch lines – to begin with, you will knit back and forth. Later you will knit in the round on a needle size 3 mm, 80 cm. 
 
The thin front bands for the sleeves are knitted on needle size 2.5 mm – I recommend double-pointed needles.
 
I also recommend double-pointed needles when knitting the horizontal front bands on the front and the back piece - They are knitted on needle size 3 mm.
 
Gauge
24 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm using needle size 3 mm.
