Description

Nigrum Wrap is a feminine wrap cardigan with raglan increases and discreet balloon sleeves. The sleeves are worked rather long, but it’s exactly the length that creates the slight balloon effect.

Finished measurements

Bust measurement: 90 (94) 100 (106) 110 cm
Sleeve length measured centre under the armhole opening: 46 (47) 49 (52) 54 cm. Body length measured centre back: 52,5 (54) 58,5 (64) 65 cm.

 

This cardigan is supposed to be worn with an approx. 5 cm positive ease. If your bust measurement is 84 cm, you should choose a size XS.

 

Materials

75 (100) 100 (100) 125 g Cashmere Lace fra Gepard Garn (350 m/25 g) knit together with 125 (150) 150 (175) 175 g of any other silk mohair quality (70 % mohair, 30 % silk) about (210 m/25 g).

 

Or:

 

225 (250) 275 (275) 300 g Kid Seta from Gepard Yarn (210 m/ 25 g) or any other silk mohair quality, e. g. Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive (225 m/25 g) or Silk Mohair by Isager Yarn (212 m/25 g) double thread. The pictured model is knit with one thread of Kid Seta from Gepard Yarn (210 m/25 g) color 405 Beige and one thread of Cashmere Lace from Gepard Yarn (350 m/25 g) color 104 B Light Beige. You will need 4 stitch markers knitting this cardigan and a crochet needle size 3 mm.

 

Recommended needles

The cardigan is knit in stockinette stitch back and forth on needle size 4,5 mm (60-80 cm), with one thread of Silk Mohair and one thread of Cashmere Lace. All ribbed hems are knit on circular needle 3,5 mm (40 and 80 cm).

 

Or:

 

The cardigan is knit in stockinette stitch back and forth on needle size 4 mm (60-80 cm), with double thread mohair. Ribbed hems on sleeves are knit on circular needle size 3 mm (80 cm). I recommend interchangeable circular needles.

 

Gauge

19 sts x 27 rows in stockinette stitch back and forth on needle size 4,5 mm with one thread of Cashmere Lace and one thread of Kid Seta = 10 x 10 cm/ 19 sts x 27 rows in stockinette stitch back and forth on needle size 4 mm with thin Silk Mohair e. g. Kid Seta held double = 10 x 10 cm.
